Kirby Puckett Has Stroke

At the age of 44, Twins great Kirby Puckett underwent surgery yesterday after suffering a stroke and there has been no news of late of his present condition.

Kirby never really had the athletic body of a baseball player but he didn't let that stop him becoming a first ballot Hall of Famer as he took to the field and gave everything he had. That often got him a Gold Glove and MVP consideration and his post-season perfomances for the Twins have gone down into baseball lore.

His career was cut short due to glaucoma leaving him blind in one eye and who knows what more he could have achieved if not for that.

Kirby Puckett has had so much bad luck but he's never let that take him down and lets hope that his drive can get him through this tough time. Either way there are a whole lot of baseball fans around the globe who are thinking of him and willing him to get better.

The world would be a lesser place without Kirby Puckett in it.
